The making of the still air box

It's rather easy, all you need is an appropriate size see-through tote, an empty metal can, something to hold the can with so you don't burn your hands and a stove or something to heat the can up.

My holes are not that well lined-up, but whatever, it gets the job done!

Don't burn yourself

I used a can that contained evaporated milk, held it over the gas stove burner with some tongs, you really don't want to burn your hands. I held it over the flame for about a minute, this stuff heats up pretty quick. You might want to use a slightly bigger can, depending on the size of your hands. I have relatively small hands, a regular food can is good enough.

Hole 1 done, I admit I was too lazy to measure exactly

Then I pressed it down on the side of the tote and the hot can melted a neat hole. Wait for the plastic to cool off before you stick your hand in there! I suppose you can polish the edges a bit with something to make it smoother, or even stick some electrical insulation tape around it to prevent your gloves tearing if the edges are rough.

If it fits, it sits. Thankfully I have small enough hands to fit through the can-sized holes

Next time I think I will get a slightly bigger box, this one was a little uncomfortable to work in.
